Nest

The size 78" x 76". This was done in
1985. I was a highly visible painter in Maine in the 80's. It was a hopping, social time with 5-6 gallery openings, monthly. A wonderful community thrived and you could count on seeing fellow artists supporting each other, attending openings.

I moved to NYC in 1987 and lived there until 1997, when we re-located back to Maine. Lots happened in that 10 year period, including the continuation of my work on fabric and a 4 year training in the Feldenkrais® Method of somatic education.

A few years back, I began to paint again. I'm using acrylics because I'm working in my living room, in front of the fireplace. What's interesting is that the dialogue I have with myself as a painter continues as if the thread never experienced days, weeks, months. Years of severance. So above is Nest & I will upload some current nests for you to see.

This Painting is for sale: $4000

  2. This is a fabulous painting and the 80s in Maine were fabulous for all of us. If there are periods when we don't paint we are still alive and everything we experience in those times is transformed into art whenever we start making it again ... even after ten years. You're a great painter; wish you could concentrate on that.
